AnyControl Post Installation Tasks

Once you install AnyControl on your target device, the app must start functioning immediately. In case you have noticed that some features are not working properly or the process of sending logs to your user panel has stopped, follow the steps below.

Here is a full guide to the tasks you need to perform and permissions you need to grant for AnyControl app to function properly. 

Disable Google Play Protect

Step 1: Check if Google Play Protect is disabled!

If AnyControl is not functioning right, it may be caused by Google Security play protect.

To check whether it is inactive, go to Play Store. Click on your account menu and select the "Play Protect" option. Then select the settings option that can be seen with the gear icon. Now disable the switch related to scanning apps by Google play protect.

📍Settings > Security > App security > Play Protect > settings icon > Play Protect settings > Scan apps with Play Protect and Improve harmful app detection > Toggle switch to off

📍Settings > Google > Security > Scan device for security threats and Improve harmful app detection

Disable Google Play Protect Notification

🔻 Android 13 and 12

Settings > Notifications > Manage All > Toggle switch next to Google Play Store to OFF

🔻 Android 11 and 10

Settings > Notifications & Control center > App Notifications > Toggle switch next to Google Play Store to OFF

🔻 Android 9 and 8

Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Google Play Store > App notifications > High priority > Toggle switch to OFF

🔻 Android 7

Settings > Notifications > Google Play Store > Block all >  Toggle switch to ON

💡 If you have already installed AnyControl and received a notification stating “Uninstall harmful app“, you can long press the notification banner in notification bar and Turn the notification to “OFF“. 

Enable Usage Access 

To grant this access you need to know the service name. If you do not know it, refer to your AnyControl dashboard.

Settings > Security > Apps with usage access > ‘The service name’ > Permit usage access > Toggle the switch to “ON”.

Enable Accessibility Access 

If you are having trouble receiving the logs of messengers, check whether accessibility is enabled. To do so enter the device settings and refer to the following path. To grant this access you need to know the service name. If you do not know it, refer to your AnyControl dashboard.

Settings > Accessibility > ‘The service name’ > Toggle the switch to ON

Disable Battery Optimization

To disable this feature you need to know the service name. If you do not know it, refer to your AnyControl dashboard.

Settings > Apps & notifications > Advanced > Special app access > Battery optimization > All apps > ‘The service name’ > Don’t Optimize > Toggle the switch to ON

Allow Notification Access

To allow this access you need to know the service name. If you do not know it, refer to your AnyControl dashboard.

Settings > Apps > Advanced > Special app access > Notification Access > ‘The service name’ > Toggle the switch to ON.

Allow Install Unknown Apps

To allow this you need to know the service name. If you do not know it, refer to your AnyControl dashboard.

Settings > Apps and notifications > Advanced > Special app access > Install unknown apps > ‘The service name’ > Toggle the Allow from this source switch.

Allow Display Over Other Apps

To allow the app to work in the background you need to know the service name. If you do not know it, refer to your AnyControl dashboard.

Settings > Apps and notifications > Advanced > Special app access > Display over other apps > ‘The service name’ > Allow display over other apps > Toggle the switch to ON

Enable Screen Capturing

Our service will start capturing everything that is displayed on your screen.
Click on START NOW and check the box to avoid the message from appearing again.

Enable Notification for Apps You Want to Monitor

You should turn on notifications for all messengers and apps that you want to monitor using AnyControl.

🔻 Android 13 and 12

Settings > Notifications > Manage All > Name of the app you want to monitor > Toggle the switch to ON

🔻 Android 11 and 10

Settings > Notifications & Control center > App Notifications > Name of the app you want to monitor > Toggle the switch to ON

🔻 Android 9 and 8

Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps > Name of the app you want to monitor  > App notifications > High priority > Toggle switch to ON

🔻 Android 7

Settings > Notifications > Name of the app you want to monitor  > Block all >  Toggle switch to OFF

You must enable notifications for each app in the app settings too. In most chat apps and messengers you can customize notifications in the app’s setting.

Open the app > go to app’s settings > find notifications > enable notifications

Disable the app related notifications in “Android System – Notifications”

 You should disable AnyControl notifications if you want to monitor your target device secretly. To do so, you need to know the service name. If you do not know it, refer to your AnyControl dashboard.

Settings > Apps and notifications > See all apps > Tap on Three dots Icon > Show system > App info > Android System > Notifications > ‘The service name’ displaying over other apps > Toggle the switch to OFF

Secure App List

For our application to function correctly you need to uninstall secure apps on the target device or add the application to the safe list within the app. 

Since safe apps update frequently and their instructions may differ you first need to figure out how to disable protection within that specific app for AnyControl. 

Generally the instruction should be similar to steps below:

💡You need to know the service name. If you do not know it, refer to your AnyControl dashboard.

Enter the secure app > go to settings > find the option for adding ‘The service Name’ to safe list

Go to sidebar > Tap on Avast Cleanup > Choose Auto-Cleaning and Battery saving > Switch to “OFF“

Tap on Start scan > Go to Dashboard > Select Privacy Advisor > Find ‘The service name’ – uninstall app > enable Not allow option

Tap on Scan > Choose Malware scan > Go  to Apps scanned > Find ‘The service name’ > Tap on Ignore list > Switch to “ON“
