How Do You Report a Person or a Channel on Telegram?

One of the most important reasons to report people on Telegram is to keep yourself and other users safe and secure. You can report a message, account, entire channel, or even a group if you see activity that violates Telegram rules.

Reporting a Message in Telegram on Iphone and Android

To be able to report a message from a specific person, or just a message in a Telegram channel or group, you need to go to the profile tab of the channel or group. Hold on the message you want to report and then follow the instructions below:

1️⃣In the menu that opens, click on the "Report" option.
2️⃣You must select a reason for reporting the message. If your reason is not in this section, click on the "Other" option. In the "Additional details" box, type the reason for reporting the message.
3️⃣Finally, click on the "Send Report" button.

Reporting a Channel-Group on Telegram

If the content of a Telegram channel is annoying you and is against Telegram rules, you can easily report them using the steps and screenshots below.

1️⃣Log in to the channel you want and select "Report" from the three dots above.
2️⃣Select your reason according to the explanations above. Then you will be directed to the channel itself to check the messages that were against the rules.
3️⃣Finally, you will receive a message titled Report sent or the image below showing that your report has been sent to Telegram administrators.

How to report a person (Telegram account)?

To report a person, log in to the person's Telegram account and copy their ID (username), then follow the steps below.

🔹 Log in to your email and send a message to the Telegram email address  abuse@telegram.org in the Send Message section.
🔹 In the Subject section, enter the phrase Report and then the account name.
🔹 Write the text, for example, if this person sends spam messages, (It keeps sending me spam messages) The text does not need to be long, Telegram experts will follow up on it themselves.

🔹 Finally, click Send Email to send your report to Telegram moderators.
