That’s why Instagram has come to your aid and has enabled a trial Reels option so that if you want to try a new genre, format, or topic with a different niche, you can easily get a general perspective on how your content will perform.

What is Instagram Trial Reels?

Announcing the new feature, Instagram Trial Reels, Instagram said it aims to allow creators to test out new ideas and get early feedback on whether their content is likely to go viral on Instagram.

The goal is to help creators expand their reach. When using the Instagram Trial Reels feature, your followers won’t see it in their regular Instagram feed, and the content won’t be visible in your Reels section. (This trial Reels is only visible to you, and with a click, you can make it visible to your followers.)

How to Share Trial Reels On Instagram

To share a trial reel, simply follow all the steps you would for posting a regular reel on Instagram. But before sharing, turn on the trial button.

After sharing your trial Reels, you can find it next to your other posts by visiting your profile. Approximately 24 hours after sharing a trial Reels, you can see key Reels metrics, including views, likes, comments, and shares, to see how it’s performing. If your trial Reels is performing well, you can share it with everyone to get even more views. Or, you can automate the process of sharing Instagram Reels.

How do I share my Instagram trial reels with everyone?

After you publish a trial reel, you can see how much engagement your non-followers (those who don’t follow you) have had and actually see how much your reels are being explored. To share your Instagram trial reels with everyone:

1️⃣ Tap the “View Trial Insights” button in the Reels Viewer.

2️⃣ Then tap “share to everyone.”
