How to archive stories, post, reels on Instagram and restore them

Using this feature, which is more useful for business pages, you can archive the posts that you don't want to be on your page and in the public eye. If you change your mind in the future and decide to share the post with your followers again, You can move the post to your main page with just one click. If you have published many posts on Instagram or some posts are very popular in your opinion, you can also archive them.

The archive feature was added to Instagram in 2017. With the help of this feature, you can archive images or videos so that others cannot see it. It is even possible for you to configure this section so that stories are automatically added to the archive section after 24 hours.

With the help of Instagram archive, you can save the sent photos without having to delete them. Also, with this feature, you will always have access to the content produced by you.

How can I see archive content on Instagram?

To enter the archive section and view your posts, you must be logged into your Instagram profile, follow the instructions below.

1.  First, you need to log in to your Instagram account and go to your profile.
2.  Touch the three line icon at the top right of the screen.
3.  A page will open for you where you can see options such as: settings, archive, close friends, etc. Select the "archive" option.
4.  On the new page, you can select and see your archived posts, archived live streams, or archived stories from the top of the page.

 

 

How to archive Instagram reels and post

Archiving a post allows you to hide your post from public view or archive a post that has lower likes and comments and you don't want it anymore. To understand how to archive a post or reel, look at the screenshots.

1.  Log in to your Instagram account. Then open the desired post.
2.  Touch the three dots icon at the top and right of the post.

How to get back archived posts on Instagram?

If for any reason you change your mind and want to restore the posts you archived, there is nothing to worry about.

1. Go back to the profile section of your Instagram account and touch the 3 lines icon at the top of the page.
2.  In the opened half page, select the "Archive" icon.
3.  To enter the archived posts section, select "Posts Archive" from the top of the page.
4.  Now you can see all the posts you have archived so far. Select the post you want to restore.
5.  Then touch the three dots icon and then in the opened box, select the "show on profile" option.

 

Instagram story archive

In the archive section of the Instagram story, unlike the archive section of the post, all stories are saved automatically. In this section, you can see all the stories that you have published on your Instagram account since the first day, with the day, time and location. The interesting feature of this section, which is shown to you as a reminder of the story, is the story that you published on the date, for example, today, but last year. Use the following instructions to see the stories that you archived.

1.  Go to your account profile.
2.  Click on the three lines icon here.
3.  Select the "archive" option.
4.  In this section, from the top of the page, select the "Stories Archive" option.

 

In this section, you can view all your archived stories. You can also select the calendar icon at the top of the page to view the archived stories based on their publication date.

You can also view the stories archived based on the location by selecting the location or map icon.

 

 

Features of the Instagram story archive

🔹Saving a story to the gallery: If you want to restore one of your previous stories and save it in your phone's memory, this is possible through the story archive section. Just according to the instructions above .

1.  Refer to the archive story section.
2.  Now, find the story you want from the history of stories.
3.  After clicking on it, you can see the three dots icon on the bottom and right side of the screen as shown.
4.  After clicking on this section, select the "Save Photo" option.

🔹Publishing a story in the form of a post: Another feature of the Instagram story archive section is the ability to republish a story in the form of a post. In other words, you can post one of your previous stories. For this, similar to the previous case,

1.  After going to the story archive section and selecting the desired story, click on the three dots icon.
2.  From this section, select the "Share As Post" option.
3.  Then you will be transferred to the next steps, which are exactly the same as the steps for posting a normal post.

🔹Deleting a story from the archive: If you want to delete one of your previous stories from the archive,

1.  From the story section of the archive, first select the story you want.
2.  Then select the "more" option at the bottom of the page.
3.  Finally, click the "delete" option.

enable live streams archiving on Instagram

According to what you can see in the settings, the archive part is made of three sections: live, story and post. Lives shared from the page are stored in the archive section just like stories; which you can see by entering the archive and selecting live. One of the features of the live archive is that you can publish the live as IGTV or save it.

1.  To do this, enter the archive section as usual and open the "live archive" section.
2.  After selecting live and entering it, we select "share" on the bottom right side of the screen, in this case, the live stream will be published as IGTV.
3. In this section, you can delete the desired live or save it in your gallery.
